For the last 2 days, when I get in my car there is a very strong gas odor. What is it, what can I do, is it dangerous?

Yes it's dangerous. I don't have near enough information to even try a diagnosis but raw gasoline odor is always an indication of a fuel leak and potential fire. Deadly fire. Please be careful and have it towed...do NOT drive it to a repair shop

So I'm guessing having a cigarette is out of the question.
