Labor charges for replacing engine?

Asked by Barbara Jul 14, 2022 at 09:02 AM about the 2012 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our 2012 Hyundai Sonata engine failed. The dealership said the engine is
under extended warranty and will not cost anything. But we haven't yet been
told what the labor might cost. Trying to make a decision... Help!

The extended warranty should show the deductible if any, so the deductible is what you would pay. My extended warranty has a 100 dollar deductible I have used it twice, once when the transfer case bearings went and also when the starter would not pull the drive back.

Beat up Chevy is right, these are not the most reliable vehicles.

Thanks to all. We've learned that our Sonata is under full extended warranty. The engine and labor are covered! Whew!!
