Sonata Engine Recall - Tips

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2012 Sonata experienced engine failure yesterday. Looking for tips
navigating the recall process. Had it towed to the dealer but I'm being told it will
be 7 days before they can look at it.  The vehicle has 124,000 mi, which I
realize is just past the 120k extension. Any tips on overcoming that hurdle or
promptly receiving a loaner/rental?
