G'day I purchased a 2010 Q5 last week, and I'd like to upgrade the headlights to the newer style xenon HIDs. I have found a set on eBay,question is - will the 2014 headlight shrouds fit my Q5 2010?
You don't need to change the shrouds, just buy HID bulbs blue or bright white that fit your car sockets & ballasts for higher wattage. They are availible in AC or DC. Use LED's on everything else like fog lights, turn signals, & tail lights. A. Pro lighting shop is the way to go for the installation. Don't ever touch the HID bulbs! Oil in your fingers cause them to burn-out. Use a Pro installer. I just did this to my Abarth it looks like a f'in train coming down the tracks & dear run from me on back roads!
Thanks for your feedback James. I like the look of the newer type of headlight shroud, but man they cost a bomb!
I think your idea is the cheapest way to go. I think I could get some DRLs too... I'll see a local installer and see what they think
