typos not welcome

Had there not been a typo, this transaction might have been flawless! Because of the typo, the inspector was sent to the wrong address, as was the paper work, and the check, and the check was also addressed wrong. Next the corrected paper work was sent 2 day express not the overnight express as told! Corrected check arrived too late for the scheduled car pickup, delaying the pickup into the following week.
One last thing while filling out the paper work make sure your computer will accept cookies otherwise you may end up wasting a lot of time and effort. This Car Gurus fail to mention.

Outcome was good, car sold, so I’m moderately satisfied. Process was less than ideal. Although they did have responsive customer support agents, I wish I didn’t have to call them as much as I did throughout the month to close the sale out.

The selling process was typical compare to Carmax & Carvana (I sold vehicles on them previously.) But, the phone call representative was unknowingly & Sloppy. You could hear their background noise such as baby was crying or dogs was barking. Phone Staffs didn't show "CONCERN" or "CARE" much about your call. They just want to hang up on you "ASAP". I think 🤔 that is the management & trainers issue. If the deal is comparable to others, then I'll definitely choose others instead of Car Gurus. Bad "CUSTOMER SERVICE EXP."

Offer was good. Vehicle pick up was terrible. Appointment was delayed three times. Finally driver called and set up a pick up time but he was seven hours late! Arrived at 11:30 pm! Unbelievable.

Took off of work the first time for scheduled pickup. Received no communication from Car Gurus that day. After no one shows up to pick up my car, I called customer support and they said there was no one available to pick up my car and they would need to find someone later. About a week later someone did show up to pick up my vehicle but didn’t really know anything about the CarGurus process. We muddled through and eventually got paid, but it wasn’t a seamless experience by any means.

I feel like as a woman, this company tried to find ways to pay me less for my truck. I took very good care of this truck. I had no accidents. 1200 new Kevlar tires, consta t oil changes and brake jobs. New windshield. Never got in a car accident ever with this vehicle. I ran over a tire on 94 and there wasn't any damage besides replacing the tire and they used that to go from almost 14k to 12.5. That Carfax report they pulled on my truck was wrong. It stated there were 2 owners and only 1. And damage to the truck "possibly" and there was none. I had a Ford dealership check it out in St. Clair Shores and it was fine so that Carfax report was wrong. It is on file there was no other damage besides the tire. Also, replaced the airbag and a light came on so I paid to have it looked at and found a loose wire (I didn't know about) and provided the 200 receipt to them. They still came back with 12,5 after offering me 13,7. I feel like they had no number to their office, didn't tell me Car Offer was associated with Car Guru and the way men spoke to me was not polite as a woman. I got hosed on the price and I know it. I needed to sell it, so took the offer. I wouldn't sell to them again as a woman. By the way, beware Carfax reports are often wrong. Mine was. I bought the truck in TX and owned it in CA and MI and it states 2 owners. They acted like I "pulled something" about the airbag light when I am very honest and didn't know a light was coming on and immediately had it fixed. The man eho emailed me was rude and their email counter offering should be checked by the feds for saying this in am angry and scary way, "There will be NO NEGOTIATION" as if you are nothing. I had to call multiple times to find out what was wrong and thr man who emailed me said that he didn't have a direct number. Who does business this way? The power of attorney call was fine. They use Look See company to get the car. It is very confusing process with many 3rd party companies involved. I don't get why they don't hire their own people in their own company to do all these activities. And get DIRECT PHONE LINES FOR EMPLOYEES PLEASE who email us customers. It's shady they do not have them! I should have called Carfax and told them how inaccurate my data was. I was so worn down by Car Guru and CaR Offer though, I gave up. I deserved the extra money for my truck as a woman, I will never do business with this company again.

Pickup was easy. They delivery guys arrived early in the alotted time window.

Note: I thought maybe someone would pick up my car with a truck, but they transported it by driving it.

Offer was the highest but my car was originally a lease that I was financing and Car Gurus needed paperwork from the lease purchase 2 years ago that I couldn’t get from the dealership or the bank. The process took 2 weeks and after sending numerous documents, lots of stress, and about 10 phone calls they finally approved. Pick up was easy though and my payment was in my account within 24 hrs.
