Okay process, terrible technology experience

Early part of the process was fine, the final few steps were extremely frustrating, time consuming, annoying. I would reconsider using them again to sell a car as a result of this experience. Specifically, the app to scan and record the car condition is flatout buggy and freezes repeatedly requiring restarts. Then the final bill of sale signature app never worked and required customer service intervention with another signature app just to get the paperwork complete. NOT a great customer service experience. Only redeeming thing is that they offered the most money for the car as compared to other online services.

Inspections had to be duplicated bc all information was not gathered. Inspection date was rescheduled, even after I called to verify the appointment date and time. Service agents do not have access to records bc other Car Guru offices are not open in the evening of on weekends. Pick up /sale of car was delayed more than a week.
In the end poor staffing (manpower) and ineffective internal communication caused the delays mentioned in above paragraph. However, your associates were always friendly and noted that none of the delays were my fault.

Can you sell your ride, YES.
Is the process explained to you at the start, NO
So here is a highlight of my auto sale on the car gurus app.
Auto type, bout a dozen photos and a vid of the auto.
Submit documents on auto (reg and loan that kind of thing).
Then a "we will get back to you".
Some time later, (couple hours or so) I have the "quote" for the purchase.
I accept the quote.
Sounds good so far, Right?
Now I am told that a mechanic/appraiser will need to arrive at my home to confirm that the auto is in the stated condition, (ok I get the need for that ).
Oh, did I mention that there is a 250mi restriction in the bid, and town is 45mi from me, And this is my Only transportation.
SO, C.G. schedule this inspection TWO WEEKS after the bid acceptance.
Two weeks later.... dude shows up dose his thing and is gone in about 40min.
About an hour +/- later, Ok every thing IS good lets schedule a pick up.
We can pick up your auto in............SEVEN DAYS, But wait there is more.
In seven days I received a call from the auto pick up crew, Ya dude we totally forgot you Dude.
So, the next day.
Two guys show up and repeat the process I have done and seen for the 3rd time.
Note: i opted to receive a check, Reasons.
The auto is now gone, i am told that my check will be "GOOD" in three hours.
FOUR hours later, bank says "check is not cleared TWO WEEK hold".
If you are this far, Here is the juice.
Take your auto to the Steelership, Ya Thay will give you a few buck less, But you are DONE in 24hr.... DONE.
If you have a life ( job, family and Things to DO), go to the Steelership!
If you have 3 weeks to waste sell Privet Party or Consignment.
The bottom line is I felt like I was hanging in the wind for Three Weeks, As in i lost my asset and the value not to be received for FIVE weeks.
Lesson learned, Never again.

Never do ACH Payment

Car Gurus specifically indicated that ACH deposit got you your money quicker than a check. Totally false. Had to wait almost 2 days for ACH payment to hit. Also, wasn't happy with the reduction in price from CarFax report that was inaccurate. Inspector found nothing including no damage ever.
