Love the Odyssey. Solid, easy to drive, predictable handling, minimal body roll, precise steering, excellent vehicle stability assist, love the mileage with the variable cylinder management, reliable as can be. Accessories and electrical equipment rarely have trouble. Even like how it looks. Have driven Caravans, T&C, Sedona. None compare well to the Odyssey. In a class by itself. Only complaint is that the leather in Hondas, doesn’t stand up well over time. Cracks, fades, and splits.Sep 13, 2020

Overall an excellent family vehicle. Extremely user friendly, and convenient to use when you have two or more kids. Third row is a big plus. Maintenance is not very expensive but the MPG can be a little bit better. I love it for overall performance, looks, reliability. Apr 13, 2015

Very good for family trip. Fits up to 8 people plus luggage. Comfortable ride, especially long ride. Entertainment system kept our one year old occupied for 5 hours. Fuel economy. We own that car almost two years, the car was in shop only once because of recall letter.
no problem at all. Dec 28, 2014

Great Fun Family Van — love the way it handles and the power is there, great turn radius . Easy to accommodate 8 people for the long weekend trip. Plenty of luggage room for a family trip of a week or longer. Reliability is also pretty good in my 8 years of using. The power and acceleration is very good. my favorite, and what stand out for me is the way it looks and drives, also the sliding doors come in handy and how easy it is to drive is a huge plus. i would so totally recommend this vanSep 08, 2014

Drove this van from Alaska to Florida and it never hiccupped. Minimal maintenance and only had to have recalls done to the vehicle. Getting ready to do the timing belt etc in the next year or so. It is the best car we've ever owned. Apr 05, 2014

Nice to have a DVD player in the van for long trips or to keep family members occupied. Nice heated front seats and plenty of room. Runs excellent in the snow. Both side doors are automatic open with key operation.Jan 23, 2014

As vans go, this one is great.
It seems to have the interior space of a big gas-guzzler like a Sequoia or Suburban, but with good fuel economy. Three of the six cylinders are deactivated when you are cruising at steady speed. Even at 80 mph, the "Eco" light comes on, telling you that you are doing it with three cylinders.
It can jump out into the left lane and accelerate up a mountain pass when you need it to. No problems maintaining speed even at 9,000 ft altitude.
Great for camping and ski trips. Great in snow if you put some snow tires on it.
The twin power sliding doors were a novelty a few years ago, but they seem essential now. I put some WeatherTec mats in it, so I'm not worried about the carpet when hauling sloppy ski gear, plants from the nursery, or bikes.
This is just a really solid car, no reliability issues and very few annoying ticks.
I'm over 80,000 miles with little more than the usual preventative maintenance items, oil changes, brakes and tires. The struts were replaced around 75,000 miles and the power steering pump was serviced or replaced for free on a recall.
OK, I'm itching to buy a really cool looking convertible, but this thing is just far too practical to give up in exchange for a little ego boost.Nov 23, 2013

I have had several mini vans and the Honda Odyssey is by far the best. The touring model has tons of options, many of which I have not learned to use because I am not that savy with technology. My family is able to travel with 7 passengers very comfortably for long road trips with plenty of room for us and storage. Gas mileage is average to above average on long trips. Acceleration is good. Did not have any repair costs other than basic maintenance expenses which were average. Overall we are very pleased and would recommend a Honda van.Aug 11, 2013

Performance is great with powerful braking system, interior makes u want to sit in it and drive all day though gas consumption will make u change ur mind. it is built stylishly with an aerodynamic shape which gives it a superb look. The 2005 Odeyssey actually drives like a car and is far lower than other minivans.Jul 07, 2013

I love this car. We've never had any problems with it. Runs great. Spacious and comfortable. It's convenient for shuttling kids around and commuting with large groups. The 3rd row is easy to fold up and down, providing quick options for seating and/or transporting large objects.Oct 17, 2012

I really enjoy driving my Odyssey. It has so many features, I often say that my car is smarter than I am. It's such a quality minivan, I will never get another as long as the quality sticks! Honda thought of everything when they made the 2005 Odyssey!Sep 14, 2011

It is powerful, smooth, very tight turning radius. Miles above the Pontiac Montana we traded it for. Looking to own it for a long time. Love the dual power doors. Going to put a sunroof in it someday. Glad to have cloth and not leather interior. Sep 26, 2010

Does not feel like you're driving a van. Awesome acceleration, almost like a sports car. Never needed anything but routine maintenance, aside from a couple manufacturer recalls, fixed by dealer with no hassle. Exterior in good shape. Interior ergonomically designed, holding up well. Only issue with interior is that it's light colored, and shows every single mark and stain. My fault for choosing tan interior. Good gas mileage for a van. Husband absolutely did not want a van, but even he admits that he likes driving it. A must when you have children. May 01, 2009

It's the sports car of all minivans! If u have to get a minivan this one combines
luxury, comfort, power and fuel efficency. Its the best. Very reliable! Well worth
the Price.
The brakes are good and the van runs to 0-60mph in about 8 seconds which is
good for this size of van. The transmission can be shifted through some gears. You
can start out like a manual in 1 then 2 then drive will shift the next 3 gears.Aug 02, 2008

This is our third Odyssey. First '99 had transmission problems. Second was OK, but the 2005 has more power and better mileage and a better overall design---a great combination.May 14, 2008
