Needs a lot of front end work. Power windows and power mirrors don’t work. Vents don’t change direction. Jan 08, 2025

I like the simplicity of the 05 Silverado WT model, the lack of electronically controlled functions is appealing. It is exactly what I was looking for. The value of the vehicle was reasonable and affordable for me personally. Nothing was missing on the truck apart from an updated radio. I would compare this to other truck makes and models around the same model year, as most has similar features. Mar 05, 2022

2000 thru 2006 GMC and Silverado were some of the best GM ever made. Smooth powerful and very dependable. Not unusual for these trucks to get 350 thousand miles out of them. They are hard to find because so many are still on the road. Nov 23, 2021

The Silverado LT 3LT is the perfect truck. It has the right amount of power and torque. It tows fantastic. It is quick from stop light to stop light. And it has convenience features that are still missing in most of todays pickups. It has leather seats. It has a moonroof and so much more. Oct 25, 2020

Loved this truck. Hauled and towed many things. Very dependable, easy ride no engine troubles whatsoever. Would definitely buy again but without the half doors. I traded her in at 132000 miles and she has never let me down. I did basic maintenance and had a champ of a truck for a decade.Dec 12, 2014

Can't beat the reliability of a chevy. The 5.3 motor will not let you down. It has a mix of power and economy. Push button four wheel drive is a must have. Fog lights help out a lot with seeing the deer on the road.Jul 31, 2014

Never had an issue with this truck. It's been very reliable. This truck is very comfortable to drive. We use it for camping and trips to the coast. We will definitely buy another chevy pickup when it comes time to buy.Jul 17, 2014

This truck was my first truck and it lasted me a great deal of time. I was reckless at that young age and I repeatedly put the truck through misuse and abuse - I jumped railroad tracks, drifted around town, did burnouts, and the other usual kid stuff. However, even when lesser trucks would have quit, my truck just kept going. Overall you get more than what you pay for with this truck and I was impressed with its dependability.Feb 19, 2014

Always starts, runs and drivers like a dream. The heated seats are awesome. Very spacious interior. Rides like a car but tough as a Chevy truck. The sun roof in the truck is cool and nice on those spring nights. Jan 27, 2014

I really like the versatility of this truck if I needed to haul a trailer or fill te bed up with something I could, or if I needed to take family somewhere I also could do that, the truck is very reliable and always ran and drove perfectlySep 15, 2013

This truck was a limo, a moving truck, a hauler, a camping tent, a bus, there is nothing that this truck can't do. It's been extremely reliable. After 135000 miles the only thing I have replaced was the thermostat. If I was not planning on having a large family I would keep mine. Mar 22, 2013

it's just hard to beat a Chevrolet Silverado Z 71 4×4 with the 5.3 LM7 engine it handles heavy loads and don't beat you to death they get pretty good gas mileage. My truck has every option available from Chevrolet. There's no other truck for me.Nov 10, 2012

We've owned this truck for just over 3 years and it has just over 100 k miles. It runs great and has decent power. I like the interior design just wish GM had spent a few bucks more on some better feeling leather/ plastics. Our kids love the sunroof one nice days and there are plenty of aftermarket support to customize it just how I want it.Oct 03, 2012

Has great gas mileage. Runs great. Haven't had any problems with it. It's a
pretty fast truck on the highway in the higher gears. I got it for a great
price for the condition it's in. It's definitely a fun truck to drive around and
own.Nov 25, 2011

extended cab is great, I got the LT model, heated leather seats are great. Z71 off road 4x4 great in the snow, I could not get stuck in 3 foot drifts from a complete stop. best truck I've owned. periodSep 18, 2011

This truck is a great runner and well maintained. The milage on it are 90% highway miles. The four wheel drive has worked great for the northern winters (I have never been stuck). The interior is clean (exception carpet has some stains). The average gas milege when loaded is 17 mpg. This is a great truck and I will miss it, but the reality is I no longer have any use for a truck.Mar 25, 2011

Is quit a powerful red chevy silverado V8, 2inch suspension lift,
performance exhaust, chrome rims, short bed, new tires, 123500k, 4x4,
automatic, regular cab, tinted windows. This pickup is very fun to drive
and has a great performance and appearance. Mar 18, 2011

This has been an awesome truck! Not one problem. It has been well maintained & driven mainly interstate miles. It gets very good gas mileage for a truck & has hd a rhino liner sprayed in the bed. Very attractive looking vehicle.Feb 22, 2011

There is really nothing that I dislike about this truck. It has been through hell and back with me and it never dies. It hauls anything I throw at it, It get decent milage, and it never leaves me stranded. The truck has surpassed my expectations in handling, performance, power and longevity. Other than what I payed for it, the truck is very affordable to own and I always enjoy driving it. I have put tons of miles on it with minimal maintenance and it still remains to pass smog and run great everytime i need it. Nov 30, 2010

Great looks, performance, and gas mileage. Holds the road well in severe
conditions, off road applications it does well. Have replaced the transmission with a
rebuilt and have had no problems since. Overall a very nice looking driving truck.
Would recommend to anyone!Apr 01, 2010

Hauled our family around in comfort. Drove good in the winter. Just was not up to the task of hauling our camper. Found out we do not like clamshell doors for the kids. Overall a good truck just not for us.Feb 20, 2010

This truck has great pickup and throttle response even though it has a 4.8L V-8. Has a low ride height that makes it easy to get in and out of. It seats 5 adults, 4 comfortably. No issues since it was bought with 6 miles on it. Factory chrome package, HD towing and 17" wheels on a blue granite base. Sep 24, 2009

This truck is Good.
the performance for a truck is amazing, it's got the 4.8 litre in it, which produces about 280 horsepower and 270 ft pounds of torque, its plenty of power!. Acceleration is good, I enjoy it when I put the pedal to the floor. The looks are alright, not too keen on the huge front bumper, but the "In your face" Grill and headlight are cool looking. Plenty of room in the back, Enough for 3 adults comfortably. The gas milage is alright, 15 and 20, meh, for a v-8, i think that alright. SOlid truck, no issues with it so far, got about 120,000 km's.The towing of amazing, it may be a small fullsize truck, but can tow around 8900 pounds, not bad! overall this truck is fun to drive, lots of room, and alright looks, keep it up chev!Feb 27, 2009

Pretty fast truck cause its 2WD with a 4.8L, not bad gas millage, bout 225,000 kms on her and very few probloms other then brakes, tires, anti-frezze clamp and a bit of rust to take off by the muffler. Awesome truck and very reliable. Its a fun truck to drive.Sep 09, 2008

I love my truck 100%. It has lots of power. It has a very nice ride. I have it accessorized to its max to my standards. I would have to say that the 2002 Chevy Pickups look better than the newer style Chevys. My truck is a one of a kind and I'm gonna run it till the engine blows.Aug 29, 2008

In my opinion this is one of the best vehicles made.
The 5.3L V-8 is a great engine along with the rest of
the LS series engines. I even get around 18 which is
not bad for a 4wd V-8 truck. I have Flowmaster
exhaust, K&N air filter, and Bully Dog Programer. It
also has 2 10 inch Rockford Fosgate subwoofers
behind the seats.Jul 15, 2008

Loved it. It was the truck I always wanted. Lots of power, good handling, comfortable, looked good. The only downfall was the poor mileage. Its the reason I sold it. I couldn't justify the money for gas anymoreApr 20, 2008

This truck has it all.....leather interrior, chrome bumpers and accents, handles like a small car and all at the same time it hides a small block V8 under the hood. A monster 5.3 litre (327 cu. in) with 295 horsepower and 335 ft-lbs of torque that hits like a hammer when the throttle is mashed. The four wheel drive system engages flawlessly (electric push button) and the rear posi- trac gets you outta those spots you shouldn't have gone into to start with. Dual exhaust and a cold air intake will make this truck sounds like a big block and let that v8 breathe a little easier. Don't plan on putting a lot in the bed. Anything more than an average four wheeler and the back bumper will be touching the ground with the front headlights being pointed at the tops of the telephone poles. Empty, the truck has a nice comfy ride, not really agressive or heavy feeling in the wheel. Overall a pretty tough truckJan 13, 2008

Love the size, color (silver)and drivability. Gas mileage exceeds what I use to get with my Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6. The only negative point is that the ride is too spungee. I plan on changing the suspension to a stiffer ride.Sep 14, 2007
