I owned a 2008 C6 for 10 years, sort of got bored with it and sold it last year. Thought I would like a Miata and bought an RF Miata in January. Big mistake on my part. I immediately had sellers remorse. Long story short; sold the tiny Miata and started searching for another C6. Found a one owner 2009 coupe and brought it home. Could not be happier! Why? Comfortable seats, smooth ride and plenty of power. Went from a convertible to a coupe so we can take an outlet of small suitcases for longer trips.May 22, 2024

Think this is a good model year…some newer/current type features, a real good amount of “ Get up & Go” …430hp, a noticable difference compared to previous 400. Of course value depends on condition, mileage, trim level, etc, but this is nice Vett… not New, not too old, a real contender as a “Keeper” Have had a total of 8 Vettts (‘1963-2015) , along with 370’s & Roush…can’t keep em all. So, would not regret having a 2010 for my last.May 08, 2024

The GT1 model was a sticker package and nothing more. They do not hold their value and this one is way overpricedMar 30, 2024

The C6 Corvette is now at a bargain price. The C7s are actually appreciating a little bit. The performance bang for your buck with the C6 is really high. Mar 19, 2024

Great car, plenty of power, great looks and value on the plus side. A little noisy when hit the power but expected. Interior not as good as some other luxury sport cars. Great bang for the buck.Mar 14, 2024

Great value, love the design and handling of the car. Interior is well thought-out with many upgrades. Engine provides plenty of horse power and the six speed transmission is smooth. Feb 01, 2022

What can I say, I really cannot say enough. This Z06/Z07 is equipped the same as the Carbon Edition with subtle differences in paint scheme and interior trim, however from a performance perspective they are equal. I had mine up to 148 mph at the Houston 1/2 Mile in 2014 and the brakes were unbelievable in how fast they pulled the car down from speed. The car is really just fantastic!
Update: did the Texas Mile in Oct 2015 and best run was 169 mph, car performed flawlessly and the massive carbon ceramic brakes hauled it down very fast.Jan 10, 2015

Not much to dislike. This car is amazing and is one of the best overall sports cars you can buy for under 30k. It gets great gas mileage and turns plenty of heads and performs great at the track. I will miss this car but the one I bought is just like it.Dec 28, 2014

This car is stock and kicks the butts of other Z06's with modifications!! This car, with one simple performance Dyno Tune is running stronger than all other stock Z06 C6 Corvettes!! I've had four Z06's and this is the nicest as far as looks, cornering, sound...stock features seem unlike any stock car before!!Jul 18, 2014

This car is amazing... I would have kept it, but as a summer car, it would have been nice if they roof could have been removed - they say they do it for structural purposes, but I don't know about that since the current base Corvette has the hoursepower of the last Z06 and they always use the structural excuse... but once you get past that, this car is world class... It accelerates with numbers that are in the Ferrari class... handles better than a lot of the European sports cars... And for pricing, if you wanted to get this type of performance from a Porsche, you'd have to be spending well over 100k - I got this a year old with only 6k miles on it and it was half of that! AND what I find to be simply amazing is the gas mileage... I took a road trip in this car from Boston, MA to Newport, RI and once on the highway, I put it in 6th and set cruise control at 80 and I was getting about 27 MPG... no other car in this class can do that... so I ask you - what's not to love????Mar 04, 2014

I've owned 8 Corvettes over the past 6 decades, and loved every one of them. The historical relevence of this brand to the American roadways is legendary, and as a personal vehicle, it surpasses any other vehicle in its class. In a word..."Superb"!Jan 12, 2012

This is my third Corvette and by far the best. Fit and finish is greatly improved.
Being a Z06, the acceleration and handling are second to none. Though not inexpensive, the Z06 is a performance bargain compared to it's competition. Being an American owned and American built car is a plus. Jul 30, 2009

Best acceleration of any car I have driven before.
Always GM quality. Made and built in the USA!
Eye catching design with standout paint job.
Impressive MPG for a 500+ BHP sports coupe.
Very exciting car to drive! I love this car!

What can I say? It's an amazing car, I raced it at Donnington Park with a few friends in the summer and it was amazing. Can't wait until August 2009, I'll be driving the same car from 'Coast to Coast' in America in the Gumball Rally 3000 2009. Only two drawbacks, the interior plastics sound very cheap and hollow and it's only available in left-hand drive (Which is a good case when i'm in America, but extremly difficult to drive on the U.K's streets.)Sep 22, 2008

I wanted to love this car. I really did. But any of the raw, race car feel that was present with the C5 Z06 was erased in this car. I equate this to a very fast Cadillac. The steering is abysmal for a car of its capabilities. Because of its numbness, you are never able to gauge what the car is doing and where its limits are. It is, however, a fantastic daily driver. I just could not love it. Sep 19, 2008

My Corvette has a Procharger Supercharger, Kook's 1 7/8" headers, Borla X-pipe, Borla Stinger Exhaust, B&M Short Throw Shifter. In a few weeks, I'll be addind a dual-nozzle methanol injection system and be doing a dyno tune on her. Right now she's pushing around 670 hp at the crank.Sep 10, 2008

This is my 6th car and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. I have owned everything from sedans to turbo 4cyls and there is nothing better than an all motor V8 making 450whp! I wouldnt trade this car for anything, well maybe a Noble M400 ;)Sep 08, 2008

For the cost the performance is second to none. It's a good mix between a straightaway and a curving track car. What it lacks in .97G skippad cornering, it more than makes up for in the straights.
It's been functionally perfect with no squeeks or creeks
The cost of ownership is a little high. $2400 in tires every 15K miles. $2000 in brakes every 20K miles. More if you track it. But it does get 27 MPG. :-DAug 14, 2008

The C6 has definitely raised the bar of the American Sportscar. A truly dominant car in it's class. The driviability is the smoothest I have ever had in a Corvette, and the performance is absolutely amazing. No Corvette previously has had the fit and finish that is now standard. Most amazing car I have ever driven. May 20, 2008

Flashy and fast is the Game that the 2006 Corvette plays. This car like those that came before follows the fast car at a reasonable price. With a 6.0 400 hp V8 that replaces the 5.7 350 hp V8, the Corvette stays relevant in the performance car market. Measuring 0-60 is no longer relevant, it is better to measure 0-100 instead. Although I never got the liberty to take this car on a twisty mountain road, it still is satisfying to drive as long as your not in traffic or have the misfortune of following a cop. The Car I drove was fitted with the 6 speed Automatic with paddle shifters. While the Slush box is able to keep the acceleration close to that of the 6 speed manual, the paddle shifters are not as quick at shifting as a standard manual transmission. This corvette was fitted with Borla exhaust and it is guaranteed to turn heads when you stomp on the throttle.
Like all corvettes, the bargain price creates some compromises. Although the interior is improved from the C5, it still is not fit for a car that cost about $55,000. The seats are still terrible, and when pinned in the seat due to acceleration, you can feel the framework behind the cheep padding. The steering also feels to synthetic and makes you feel sort of isolated from the road, but no worries Corvette lovers, because I believe they have addressed this in the 08’ model. While the Composite body saves weight, the rear bumper feels, well… flimsy. And when you take the car to the dealer because the targa top is rattling, pray that they don’t back the car into a Suburban.
There is certain Corvette educate that one must follow when driving, always wave to other drivers of Corvettes. Secondly, never drive the Corvette like you are driving a Cadillac, You are supposed to drive this car as if your 21. The owner of the corvette I drove is 87, and he still drives it like he is 21, fortunately it has not been impounded…Yet.

The truck you see behind me and the Corvette is the one that brought to this truly wonderful day 5 supercars. First, let's start with Miss Kentucky, the Vette.
This C6 had 404hp (440 for the 2008 model) and a 6-speed manual gearbox that was quite manly, but it was manageable, so I actually liked it ... just like the whole car, to be honnest from the beginning.
It looks superb, the V8 sounds great, and on the track, it was able to follow the Ferrari and the Lamborghini, leaving the Aston and the Porsche in its dust! Not bad for a $US 50,000 car!
On the road, French and bumpy roads should I add, everything was perfect ... till we went over the speed limit (there was a Toyota LandCruiser in front of us to check that the police wasn't here).
Then, the magnetic suspensions didn't seem to bother anymore of confort and I found myself a couple of times driving like an Englishman, on the wrong side of the road!
Apart from that, it was fantastic! I loved the Targa roof, easy to store in the trunk, I loved the Heads-up Display, like on a fighter jet, and I loved the performance.
We were not nice with these cars, but the Corvette just didn't mind. The brakes were red, a little bit damaged, but it kept on braking and braking, as good as the others (well, much better than the V8 Vantage, that's for sure)!
The only other drawback is the stability control (ESP for Bosch, Active Handling for GM) ... it worked on the road... thank God! But DO NOT, DO NOT turn it off!
If you want to avoid crashing at least, because somehow, without this electronic aid, the back feels twitchy at the limit, and no matter how hard I like to train, I'm not a professional racing driver, so I spun, again and again!
When you do slide, it's wonderful, but on the road, especially on a slippery one, just let the ESP on!
Anyway, great car and really well priced! Jan 15, 2008

The car is an all around performer. However, I do have one complaint. The seats are entirely to soft and lack proper bolstering. Also, they could be more rigid. Other than that, the car is an engineering marvel!! Sleek, sexy, and blindingly fast!! There are not enough good things to say about this car!Jan 10, 2008
