Fuel Pump Power

I have a 95 gmc sierra. I replaced the oil sending unit and now I am not getting adequate power to the fuel pump. The pump comes on when I connect it directly to the battery? Any suggestions???

I just changed my bad fuel pump, also put a new fuel filter, connected the new connector for it. The pump isn't making noise an/or sound of it working. Fuse looked fine. Any help?
