You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was minor or more serious. That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you maintain the vehicle and how clean its history is. If you buy at a strong price and keep the Blazer in good condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,278, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $19,274 average.
• It introduced the Blazer as a road-focused, style-first crossover.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,468, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $19,274 average.
• It emphasizes style and handling even more, but with a less convincing value proposition.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money while keeping the same basic appeal.
