The 2026 Chevrolet Blazer combines a sporty exterior with a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine or an optional V6 that deliver plenty of power for spirited driving. It also offers optional all-wheel drive (AWD) and handles well for a crossover. Buyers looking for a utility vehicle that doesn’t look or feel boring may find the Blazer offers what they’re looking for, but shouldn’t expect strong fuel-efficiency or class-leading interior technology.

What’s New for the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer
The Blazer name has been around for a long time, first as a hulking, truck-based sport-utility vehicle and later as a popular midsize SUV, before morphing into the car-like crossover it is today. It’s been on sale in its current form since the 2019 model year and enters its eighth year with only minor changes. For 2026, the Chevy Blazer is offered in 2LT, 3LT, and RS trim levels, with front-wheel drive (FWD) or AWD, and two engines.
Design
When it was introduced for 2019, Chevrolet drew plenty of design comparisons between the muscular Camaro and its new Blazer SUV. It still looks handsome and sporty years later, with its prominent grille and sleek LED lighting. Blazer LT models feature a standard chrome strip running through the grille, while the optional Midnight/Sport Edition blacks out the exterior trim. The top-level Blazer RS trim level is the most outwardly sporty version with dark exterior highlights, dual exhaust outlets, and standard 20-inch wheels (21-inch wheels with a high-gloss black finish are optional).
Powertrain
All 2026 Blazer models come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The Blazer RS model is available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use a nine-speed automatic transmission, and FWD is standard across the board. All Blazer models offer optional AWD, but the RS model gets a more advanced twin-clutch system. In its most efficient form with the four-cylinder engine and FWD, the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer is rated by the EPA at 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined. Opting for AWD lowers those figures to 22/27/24 mpg. Blazer models with the V6 engine and FWD deliver 19/26/22 mpg, while V6-powered Blazers with AWD are rated at 18/25/21 mpg. Properly equipped with the available Trailering Package, the 2026 Chevy Blazer can tow up to 4,500 pounds, while base models with the four-cylinder engine can tow a respectable 3,250 pounds.

Interior
With its round air vents, hooded gauge cluster, and swept-back shapes, the 2026 Chevy Blazer’s interior gives off sports-car vibes. A two-tone black-and-gray color scheme with cloth seats is standard, while perforated leather is optional on the LT trim, and RS models get perforated leather with red or blue accents. All Blazer trim levels get a standard eight-way power driver’s seat, and both front seats get standard heat. Ventilated front seats and heated rear seats are available. With the rear seat folded, the 2026 Chevy Blazer offers about 64 cubic feet of cargo space, which isn’t great compared to its midsize two-row crossover competition. The 2026 Subaru Outback, for instance, offers over 80 cubic feet, while the cavernous Honda Passport boasts more than 104 cubic feet.
Technology
A 4.2-inch analog gauge cluster is standard on LT models, while the RS gets an upgraded, customizable 8-inch digital gauge cluster. Regardless of trim, all 2026 Blazers feature a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless smartphone charging is optional on LT models and standard on RS models. A six-speaker stereo system is standard in the 2026 Blazer, and an eight-speaker Bose system is available in LT models and standard in RS models.
