Used 2022 Chevrolet Blazer for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer cost?

Prices have softened 12.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,746 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer earns a 5/5 user rating, and our experts give it 6.2/10 overall. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, powerful engine options, and comfortable ride. The sporty handling and spacious interior also come up often, and many shoppers appreciate the straightforward, easy-to-use tech.

On the downside, expert testing points to uncomfortable seats and poor visibility, along with poor value for money. That makes it a better fit if you want a stylish, practical five-passenger SUV with approachable tech rather than a class leader in refinement or value.

It also posts 34.2% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a reliable, dependable feel, with owners describing it as a vehicle they can count on over time.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by describing the Blazer as agreeable for the kind of driving most people do every day. Its powertrain and driving manners are presented as solid and predictable rather than troublesome.

The ownership picture is still worth watching closely on a used example, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul, because condition and maintenance history will matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Blazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on seat comfort, outward visibility, and how well the tech and driver-assistance features work in real use. It also helps to compare trim equipment closely, since the Blazer’s appeal changes a lot depending on how much convenience and safety gear you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2LT, 3LT, Premier, and RS trims differ in engine availability, drivetrain setup, and appearance. The RS stands apart with its V6 and more sophisticated AWD system, while the other trims are more likely to start with the turbocharged four-cylinder.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 228 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic. The RS adds a 3.6-liter V6 with 308 hp, and that engine is also available on 3LT and Premier.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Available upgrades include adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and the Safety Alert Seat.
• Infotainment: The Blazer uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The upgraded system adds satellite radio and connected navigation with enhanced voice recognition, and connected services plus a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard turbocharged four-cylinder is rated at 21 mpg combined in expert testing, and the V6 AWD test vehicle returned 20.5 mpg on the testing loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Blazer trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer is offered in 4 trim levels: 2LT, 3LT, Premier, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• 2LT: This is the starting point if you want the Blazer’s style, standard turbo-four power, and core tech without paying for extras. It makes the most sense if you mainly want the design and easy-to-use infotainment at the lowest entry price.
• 3LT: This trim is the better value if you want more flexibility, since it can be paired with the available V6 and adds room to build in more comfort and convenience equipment. It’s the trim to watch if you want a stronger balance of features and price.
• Premier: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and the revised styling touches mentioned in the expert review. It suits you best if comfort and appearance matter more than keeping the budget tight.
• RS: This is the one to buy if you want the strongest performance character, since it gets the standard V6 and the more sophisticated twin-clutch AWD system. It’s the best fit if you care most about power and a sportier personality.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, so you get the core driver-assistance package even on the lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Blazer?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,746 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,117, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer's resale value?

The current average of $23,117 sits slightly below last year's $26,342.

That decline suggests the Blazer has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to move a vehicle. If you own one, the current market favors buyers more than sellers, so condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when you list it.

Well-kept examples with desirable trim and equipment should still draw attention, especially because the model has strong owner satisfaction. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, with forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, low-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Standard rear-seat reminder and Teen Driver technology add more everyday protection, while available upgrades include adaptive cruise control with enhanced automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and the Safety Alert Seat.

One caveat is that the IIHS rating is held back by the headlights, so you should pay close attention to lighting performance if you drive often at night.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs approachable tech with Camaro-inspired styling and a practical five-passenger layout.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $20,597, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $23,117 average.
• It emphasizes style and handling over practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $26,677, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $23,117 average.
• It adds a larger touchscreen and available wireless charging across the lineup.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year mix of style, usable tech, and a softer used-market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the cheaper path; if you want newer tech and don’t mind paying more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
