Used 2022 Toyota Venza for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2022 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have softened 1.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 807 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Venza earns a 4.7/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, quiet ride, and fuel efficiency, and many also like its upscale interior feel and smooth driving experience. The Venza’s distinctive design and premium-leaning cabin help it stand out if you want a refined two-row SUV rather than a conventional family hauler. The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and limited cargo space, so it fits you best if efficiency, comfort, and style matter more than maximum utility. Good and great deals account for 35.7% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for comfort, fuel efficiency, and a smooth, trouble-free driving experience. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that Toyota’s hybrid setup is transparent in operation and requires no special attention to work, which supports confidence in everyday ownership. Toyota’s shared-platform engineering and broad hybrid experience also reinforce the sense that this is built for long-term use. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been cared for and still suits your space and tech needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a full ownership and repair record. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the hybrid system, electronics, and any signs of interior wear or water intrusion. Since the Venza’s appeal depends heavily on comfort, efficiency, and tech, make sure the specific vehicle still delivers on those strengths.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE comes with an 8-inch touchscreen and a 5-inch instrument cluster display, while the XLE and Limited move to a 7-inch cluster display. The Limited adds a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, navigation, and available advanced tech features, so the base trim is the most stripped-down choice.
• Powertrain: The Venza uses a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors for 219 horsepower combined. It also offers EV operation for short distances and drive modes that let you tailor the hybrid system’s behavior.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and hill-start assist are standard on all trim levels, while XLE and Limited add front and rear parking assist with automated braking.
• Infotainment: The LE and XLE use an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa capability, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and Toyota Connected Services. The Limited upgrades to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and adds navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The Venza is rated at up to 40 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, and 39 mpg combined, and Toyota says a tank of gas should yield well over 500 miles.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value play if you want the Venza’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the hybrid powertrain, standard AWD, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, blind-spot monitoring, and the 8-inch touchscreen, but you give up some of the nicer cabin and tech upgrades found higher up.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top model. You get the 7-inch instrument display, front and rear parking assist with automated braking, and the same core hybrid efficiency and safety foundation.
• Limited: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale Venza experience. It adds the 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, navigation, and available advanced tech features, making it the right pick if you care most about the premium feel.

Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and hill-start assist are standard on all trim levels, while XLE and Limited add front and rear parking assist with automated braking.
