Used 2019 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2019 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 2.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,531 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.64/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its solid, reliable character, roomy cabin, and comfortable ride. They also highlight strong performance and towing capability, which fits the truck’s straightforward, work-ready personality.

The trade-offs are familiar: the technology feels outdated, especially the navigation system, and fuel economy is a common complaint. That lines up with the truck’s no-nonsense approach, which may suit you if you want durability and capability more than modern polish.

With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable, solid, and trouble-free, with language that points to a truck you can count on over time. The expert review also emphasizes durability and reliability in the V8 powertrain, reinforcing that this is a truck built around long-haul dependability.

If you want a used full-size pickup that prioritizes proven hardware over complexity, that’s a meaningful advantage. The main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and outdated systems may matter more than mechanical drama.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on trucks that may have been used for towing or hard work. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear in the cabin, suspension, brakes, and drivetrain.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR already includes heated mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, a damped tailgate, an integrated trailer-brake controller, and a safety suite with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, while the TRD Pro brings a revised suspension and off-road hardware.
• Powertrain: You get a 4.6-liter V8 or a larger 5.7-liter V8, both paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The smaller engine is stout and predictable, while the larger one adds more power and towing capability.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense-style equipment includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is not standard on the base SR or the TRD Pro.
• Infotainment: The base truck uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, while the SR5 upgrades to a 7-inch screen with navigation and traffic info. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4.6-liter V8 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined, while the rear-wheel-drive 5.7-liter V8 can deliver up to 13/18/15.

Which 2019 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value play if you want the essentials plus a surprisingly strong safety suite and the lower entry price. It gives you the core truck hardware and enough standard equipment to make sense for shoppers who care more about capability than luxury.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a better infotainment setup, navigation, traffic info, foglights, and useful convenience upgrades without jumping into luxury pricing.
• Limited: Choose this if you want a more comfortable daily driver, with leather front bucket seats, power adjustments, dual-zone climate control, auto headlights, and more cabin polish.
• Platinum: This trim is for you if you want a more upscale Tundra, with a sunroof, heated and cooled front seats with driver memory, an upgraded JBL stereo, and LED daytime running lights.
• 1794 Edition: This is the style-focused luxury choice, sharing the same upscale equipment level as the Platinum while adding its own unique appearance.
• TRD Pro: Pick this if you want the most distinctive Tundra, with a revised suspension, off-road tires, forged BBS wheels, Fox shocks, a skid plate, and extra TRD-specific hardware.

Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is unavailable on the base SR and the TRD Pro.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,170, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $33,742 sits slightly below last year's $34,654.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper near-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the Tundra’s reputation for durability and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand over time.

If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the truck well, you should be in a better position when it’s time to resell. Trucks with a loyal following tend to hold attention longer than more disposable alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star rollover ratings from NHTSA, and five-star ratings in side crash tests. It also earns a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS, though the test results include Marginal ratings for the headlights and driver-side small overlap front test, plus a Poor rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota makes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor standard. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is also part of the safety story, though it is not available on the base SR or the TRD Pro.

The weak spots are worth noting: the truck’s older driver-assistance systems can feel less polished than newer rivals, and the IIHS results show clear shortcomings in some crash and headlight tests.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings back the TRD Pro with a revised suspension and new BBS wheels.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $36,800, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $33,742 average.
• It leans even harder into long-term reliability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because pricing is softer and inventory is healthy. If your priority is maximum confidence in long-term durability and you’re willing to pay more, the 2020 is the cleaner alternative for price-insensitive buyers.
