CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Summary
With 324 currently listed for sale and an average price of $21,035, 31.2% of 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrids for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid 5 / 5 stars.
61.4% of 2019 Camry Hybrid models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid stands out because it combines the Camry’s familiar strengths with a more upscale, more modern feel than earlier versions. In this generation, the Camry Hybrid moved upmarket and adopted a different look, including a “fastback” rear end, a lower roofline, and a longer, wider body. The interior also took a clear step forward with a curvy dashboard and a high-tech center console, while still keeping the model’s core appeal of affordability, practicality, and ease of ownership.
It is also notable for its stronger hybrid powertrain and broad equipment list. Power rose to 208 horsepower, using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, with front-wheel drive through a CVT and fuel economy rated at 46-52 mpg depending on spec. The hybrid lineup expanded to three trims, and even the entry-level version included LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and radar cruise control. The top trim added features such as rear-seat climate control vents, leather upholstery, a head-up display, a blind spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert.
For buyers, the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid is appealing because it offers comfort, good value, and a reputation for reliability, while also feeling more polished than a basic midsize sedan. Its drawbacks are mostly the flip side of that mission: it is not especially exciting to drive or look at, and the interior is described as bland in early models. Still, for shoppers who want a spacious, efficient, and easy-to-live-with hybrid sedan, it has a lot going for it.

It’s only been one day but I love it! Picked it up in Plano, TX, drove back to Austin and only used about 1/4 tank of gas! That’s almost a 200 mile journey! The road manners were impeccable and I’ll be enjoying many years in this vehicle.

I love the Toyota Camry Hybrid and just upgraded from a 2008 to a 2019 — it gets great gas mileage and is super comfortable for long road trips. The 2019 SE model is sporty but luxurious inside and has a big trunk! I love that I now have a backup camera and my Bluetooth hooks up without any issues. Fantastic vehicle all around!

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid earns a 5/5 user rating, which is a strong sign that shoppers are broadly satisfied with it. Owners most often praise its comfort, gas mileage, and smooth ride, and they also call out the quiet driving experience and advanced safety features. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a comfortable, efficient, easy-to-live-with hybrid sedan rather than something sporty or flashy. With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also enough market activity to give you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable, with praise centered on comfort, smooth operation, and the kind of trouble-free ownership experience many used buyers want. The model’s reputation for reliability also comes through in the way owners describe it as easy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by heavy use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records or other red flags. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks attractive, because condition matters more when you are choosing among many similar hybrids. Focus your evaluation on overall wear, repair quality, and whether the car still feels consistent with the smooth, quiet, efficient character buyers expect from this model.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 323 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.02% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 61.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $20,001, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $21,124 sits slightly below last year's $21,560.
That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the good news is that the model still has broad appeal because it combines efficiency, comfort, and practicality in a familiar package. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.02% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2019 is the one to focus on first. It gives you a well-liked hybrid sedan with a softer price trend and enough inventory to compare examples carefully. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also keep nearby years in play, but the 2019 is the better starting point when you want a confident used-car purchase with broad appeal.
