How much does the 2018 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Is the 2018 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Lincoln Navigator earns a 4.86/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its comfort, luxury, and interior space, and they also highlight its strong hauling ability and towing performance. That lines up with the Navigator’s role as a full-size luxury SUV for you if you want something that feels distinctive rather than merely practical. The main tradeoffs called out by owners are limited trunk space in the regular-size model and occasional Sync issues.

With 34.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to you if you want a large luxury SUV for regular use: comfort, luxury, interior space, hauling ability, and strong towing performance. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Navigator’s powertrain and chassis are built to handle a heavy vehicle with confidence, which supports the impression of long-term durability.

Black Label ownership also includes maintenance perks such as pickup for service, an upgraded maintenance program, and free car washes, which can make upkeep feel easier. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core capability and more about finding an example that has been cared for well, especially given the size, complexity, and technology content.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Lincoln Navigator?

At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where repairs can be expensive. Pay close attention to body condition, interior wear, and how well the technology and convenience features operate. Because this model is often bought for family duty and towing, it also makes sense to check for signs of heavy use.

Key things to evaluate:

The Select adds adaptive suspension, 22-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, power side running boards, and a 360-degree camera, while the Reserve adds a panoramic dual-pane sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and unique 22-inch wheels. Black Label adds the most exclusive cabin themes and premium ownership perks.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 with 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with 4WD optional on Premiere and Select and standard on Reserve and Black Label. Fuel economy is 16 mpg city, 23 highway, 19 combined for RWD and 16/21/18 for 4WD.

• Fuel efficiency: RWD models return 16 mpg city, 23 highway, 19 combined, while 4WD versions return 16 mpg city, 21 highway, 18 combined.

Which 2018 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2018 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 4 trim levels: Premiere, Select, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Premiere: This is the value starting point because it already feels richly equipped, with heated first- and second-row seats, power-folding seating, a 10-inch touchscreen with navigation, a 12-inch digital cluster, and a long list of standard comfort features. If you want the Navigator experience without chasing extras, this is the trim to start with.
• Select: This is the best-value upgrade if you want the biggest jump in everyday usability, because it adds adaptive suspension, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, power side running boards, and a 360-degree camera. It gives you more of the features that make the Navigator easier to live with.
• Reserve: This trim is the sweet spot if you want a more upscale feel, thanks to the panoramic dual-pane sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and distinctive 22-inch wheels. It’s the right choice if you care most about luxury touches and cabin ambiance.
• Black Label: This is the most exclusive choice, with unique interior themes, the heavy-duty trailer package, and premium ownership services such as maintenance pickup and free car washes. It suits you best if you want the most distinctive Navigator and are willing to pay for the experience.

Black Label also brings the extra safety content, including lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning and mitigation with pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Lincoln Navigator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 624 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,237, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $26,237 sits slightly below last year's $29,639.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if depreciation continues at the same pace. If you plan to sell later, the best protection is buying a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history, because those are the listings most likely to stay desirable. Higher-spec trims with the right features may also hold attention better than a bare-bones example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2018 Lincoln Navigator earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, LATCH, tire pressure monitoring, a reversing camera, Side Wind Stabilization, and blind-spot warning. If you want the most advanced driver assistance, you need to move up to Black Label for lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning and mitigation with pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. That trim-level gap matters if safety tech is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2018 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 Navigator marks a major redesign that brings a sharper look, a much more upscale cabin, and a stronger sense of American luxury.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of this Navigator generation, the 2018 is the right place to focus because it delivers the redesign, the strong powertrain, and the luxury feel that define the model. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year and target well-priced, clean-history examples rather than moving to a different year just for the sake of it.
