Used 2022 Lincoln Navigator for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2022 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 15.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,095 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The Navigator is positioned as a full-size luxury SUV with classically elegant styling, robust towing capacity, and soothing comfort in all three rows of seats. It also brings numerous updates for 2022 that refresh its styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving dynamics, helping it stay competitive against newer rivals.

The trade-offs are that the grille design may not appeal to everyone, the interior chrome is considered excessive, and the voice recognition system needs fine-tuning.

With 36.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Navigator’s appeal centers on its quiet luxury, strong powertrain, and comfort-focused cabin, all of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership. The 2022 updates also improve the SUV’s technology and driving dynamics, which helps it feel more current than the previous version.

Its twin-turbo V6, updated braking feel, and revised suspension tuning point to a well-rounded ownership experience, while the maintenance perk of valet service adds a useful ownership convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is the cost and complexity that can come with a large luxury SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features, since this model leans heavily on technology and luxury equipment. It also makes sense to confirm that the vehicle’s condition matches its premium positioning, especially on higher-mileage examples.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trims are offered, with the Black Label bringing the most upscale presentation and equipment. The base trim still gets the refreshed styling and a 20-inch wheel design, but the higher trims are where the Navigator’s luxury character becomes more pronounced.
• Powertrain: The Navigator uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It delivers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, with towing capacity ranging from 8,100 pounds to 8,700 pounds depending on configuration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system. ActiveGlide is Lincoln’s hands-free driving technology for approved highways, but you still need to stay attentive.
• Infotainment: The 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen is a major upgrade, and it supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air updates, and a dual-panel display layout. Rear-seat entertainment can also be equipped with Amazon Fire TV.
• Fuel efficiency: The Navigator 4WD should return 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 18.6 mpg on the route described.

Which 2022 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the refreshed exterior design, the new 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen, and the core Navigator experience. It makes sense if you want the model’s size, comfort, and capability without stretching into the pricier luxury-focused trims.
• Reserve: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more of the upscale feel that defines the Navigator without going all the way to the top. If you want a stronger luxury impression and plan to keep the SUV for long trips and family use, this is the trim to focus on.
• Black Label: This is the most indulgent version, and it suits you if you want the richest presentation and the most premium ownership experience. The test vehicle’s Central Park theme and high-end cabin details show how far this trim pushes the Navigator’s luxury identity.

Safety equipment includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,095 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,789, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $47,789 sits slightly below last year's $56,847.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level rather than just model-year age.

Because the Navigator is a high-end full-size SUV with strong capability and broad appeal, well-kept examples should still attract attention from buyers who want space and luxury. Listings with desirable equipment and clean history should hold up better than average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system as standard equipment. Intersection Assist can brake automatically in unsafe situations, Road Edge Detection can help steer away from the edge of the pavement, Active Park Assist 2.0 can handle parallel and perpendicular parking, and ActiveGlide provides hands-free driving on approved highways.

ActiveGlide is a useful step forward, but you still need to monitor the road at all times. The system can disengage on tighter curves, so it works best within its operating limits.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The facelift revived the aging Navigator and kept it competitive against newer rivals.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,662, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $47,789 average.
• It offers a quieter, more apartment-like luxury feel with premium materials.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $55,319, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $47,789 average.
• It emphasizes spacious third-row comfort and impressive technology.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want the refreshed design, updated tech, and strong luxury appeal at a softened market price. If your priority is spending less, the 2021 is the value path; if you want to pay more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2023 is the next step up.
