You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, interior wear, and signs of past repairs. Focus on maintenance records, cabin wear, and whether the vehicle’s features still work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring Elite stands out with a dual-screen infotainment setup, rear entertainment system, onboard vacuum, and a blind-spot monitoring system that replaces LaneWatch.
• Powertrain: A 3.5-liter V6 with 248 hp and a 6-speed automatic delivers strong everyday performance, and the Odyssey does not offer all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera are available depending on trim, while the Touring Elite is the only version with traditional blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The Touring Elite uses a dual-screen system with HondaLink first-generation connectivity, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging and email capability, and a rear entertainment system.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends family-focused practicality with strong safety and useful tech.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,452, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,471 average.
• It delivers broad everyday competence and strong family-hauler versatility.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,759, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,471 average.
