What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Honda Odyssey?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of wear, and how well the cabin has held up to family use. Because this model is often chosen for practicality, you’ll want to make sure the seats, sliding doors, and interior features all work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Odyssey?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,937 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,022, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $15,556 sits slightly below last year's $16,915.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future resale gains may be more gradual than in a rising market. If you plan to sell later, condition and maintenance history will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to compare clean, well-kept examples against the broader market. Strong demand for practical family vehicles can still support value, but the best-retained examples will usually be the ones with cleaner histories and better presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.03% compared with last year.
