2013 Hyundai Sonata rough ride

Asked by GuruGT3X8 Aug 18, 2020 at 05:13 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata Limited FWD with Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata limited fully loaded I
bought last October. I love everything about the car,
except for the ride quality. About the second day of
ownership I noticed the ride is little rough,
somehow didn’t notice this on the test drive.  It had
about 61K miles on it and for the limited I expected
a smoother ride. I believe my previous car (2004
Hyundai XG350 and 2005 sonata rode better than
this. Both higher millage.

A few weeks ago I decided to replace the shocks
and struts and they suggested the sway links too.
So I got all four brand new struts including new
springs. I thought this would take care of the
problem. Too my disappointment it’s still the same.
Ride is uncomfortable at times and not very
enjoyable, even on nicely paved roads it’s bouncy
and on others you can feel ever imperfection
including a crack in the road.
The tires were also replaced previously after I
bought it and that didn’t make a difference, they
said the rims are also in good shape.
Any suggestions on what I can do to make this ride
smoother? Are these replacement struts just
crappy?
