fuel pump 2004 sable coming on with key to prim but not pumping fuel

my 2004 sable fuel pump was repacked 1 year ago. now it will not start. can
hear pump turn on with turn of key then off but car not starting . removed fuel
line at inlet side of fuel filter turned on the key pump turned on and no fuel
came out ?????

Sounds like a defective fuel pump assembly. Hope that helps! Jim
