Check the intake manifold gasket and map sensor I had a 2005 ran at 4500rpm when you started it in park once in gear it would idle 2500rpm ended up being cracked intake manifold gasket if same happened to you could have caused map sensor to go bad and between the two it's just not going to be able to get the right fuel/air ratio and results in a crank no start once I installed new gasket $12 by the way Only took my 3 hrs and if solved everything! Hope this helps God bless!

I just bought a 2000 with the 2.0 in it and the previous owner found that pulling this single prong plug off beside the crank sensor plug for about 30- 60 sec then trying it again it would start. Just what I have found.

What is the answer for this? I have a 2019 Hyundai Elantra and have this issue. Being a newer vehicle should it already have problems like this?

Try changing the Neutral Safety Switch. It's a $50 part. Here's the video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkrJOw8oeLw

My husband changed my spark plugs only in my 2012 Elantra and it wouldn't start...I read somewhere online about flooded fuel injection cars...needless to say I put the gas to the floor and it started...I ran it through the rough running patch started it back up a couple more times....now it's perfect...also if ur elanyis limited like mine make sure u tell the auto parts where u get ur plugs at
