I JUST GOT A 99 CIVIC LX THE LAST OWNER TOLD ME THAT IF THE FAN/BLOWER
IS NOT ON THE CAR SPUTTERS THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AT ALL.
HE SAID IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WHICH IS WHAT HONDA TOLD HIM BUT
HOW DO I FIX IT IF I DONT KNOW WHERE THE PROBLEM IS? I'M GONNA TRY THE
coolant temp sensor TO SEE IF THAT FIXES IT ANYTHING ELSE I SHOLUD LOOK AT
Mike, why not go to dealer and just have it checked? And why did you buy a car with a standing electrical problem ? IMOO one buys "problem cars" when you have a good background in the world of mechanics and have the knowledge and equipment to tackle it if not you are gambling with what ever you got in your pocket! or have at your disposal a great deal of buddies to pick you up every time it breaks down by the side of the road. Good Luck!
how recently did you buy the car? you should scan it for any CEL codes. i would check the fuse and or relay for the fan. also check your coolant levels. sounds like the car overheats. and just for kicks check your oil level.
