I can't lock the Left Front door on my 2004 Honda Civic. The lock button won't depress. For awhile I could use the actuator, now that won't work. The actuator continues to lock the other three doors. It seems that the rod is jammed in the assembly. I can turn the key in handle but the latch pops up when I try to remove the key. Any suggestions? Thanks

got to do it the hard way, remove the door card and take a look

I can only lock my driver door when hitting the lock button while holding the handle up at the same time.

Thanks, but that's not my problem. I am aware of the feature that prevents locking your keys in the car. My problem is that the manual lock button can not be depressed when inside the car. Using a key outside partially depresses it, then it pops back up.

Nothing short of replacing the lock assembly, which I don't want to invest the time or money in doing.

Shut the driver door, open the passenger door and lock the driver door that way. Should lock the other doors.
