i have a 1968 Bug...it back fired and now wont start. Gas to carp is good. Sprayed starter fluid. Have not checked spark. Going to tomorrow. Could it be jets or rings? d

Back fired and now it wont start.

If you used starter fluid and it didn't even hit once the chances are high that you don't have any spark, backfiring can be caused by a failing condenser, so replace the points and condenser and then check for spark.
