Intense rattling from stop in 2015 Sonata Eco

Asked by Corey Aug 09, 2018 at 09:44 PM about the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Pretty much every time I accelerate my car from a stop, it
rattles/shakes/vibrates intensely. Apparently it has to do with the dual clutch
transmission having trouble getting into 2nd gear. The dealership said this is
just how the car works and there's no fix.

Do others have this problem? Is there REALLY no fix??

1 Answer

Yes I too have the same problem. The car shakes for few seconds when I accelerate and runs smoothly after when it picks up. It was not the case when I bought the car. When I took it to service, the dealer asked me to do a fuel induction service and PCV valve change but then it still is behaving the same way.
