FM radio for drive-in movies
How do you keep the radio on when the car is off?
The factory setting is 10 min but I need it to stay on
for up to 2hrs to see a drive-in movie. Will cycling
through to ACC change that time limit?
The only way that you can keep the radio operating without the engine running is the ACC or accessory setting. It will gain you some time, but not much. I think the timer is still 20 or 30 minutes in ACC. Try setting an alarm on a phone or watch and cycle like you were saying. Good Luck!
The accessory position of the ignition should keep the radio playing so you can hear the sound from the movie. On some vehicles you push in on the key and turn the ignition toward you. On others you turn the ignition one or two clicks away from you. BTW, that's so cool that you still have drive in movies where you live! The last one near me shut down about 30 years ago. I remember the little speakers that hung on the driver's window for the sound!! HTH. -Jim
