where is the coolant senor on a 2000 sonoma 4.3 6 cylindwe

with new plugs and wires still does not start. pulled one plug and it smelled
like gas. smell gas in the cab while turning engine over, truck  started first time
and all day right after changing plugs and wires but not since.
