how do u put lean on on car that has been left at my shop

This must be done through the Small Claims Court System. The first thing you have to do is win a judgement against the car owner who owes you the money. Once you have that then you file paperwork with the court to place a lean on the vehicle. This will be recorded in the court system as well as Motor Vehicles. This way the car can't be sold until you get paid. HTH. -Jim
