Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so I just replaced the starter I have
replaced alot I a year but now I know my
schedule clutch is going out as I just noticed
that working then stopping then working g
then stopping but I can't figure out if that's
why my truck is stutting down while I am
driving it!!! It usually starts back up but I
have to push on the accelerator for a few
seconds to keep it from shutting v right back
off. Key things I noticed all my electrical
stays on and my steering locks up as if
either I ran out of gas or there's a problem
with my power steering? Any help as I have
no clue oh there are no codes popping up

Hello ok I asked this question and unfortunately got zero responses. I am a single mom of 5 and it's me and my 17 year old step son trying to fix this Dodge. I am machanic but I am good at learning and I try to fix things myself if possible! Anyway here's an update I had to have surgery but I order the parts I was told by a certified Machanic to replace. I had to have my truck towed home because I ended up not having my pedal to drive plus it would start and if it did it would stay on. So I though ok I snapped my throttle cable. Now the throttle cable was originally broke and my ex took a red twisty tie and put it at the end of the cable under the hood. Why not sure but he told me to leave it get would replace it. Well long story short it was never replaced and I was unaware of it! When I had to recently replace the starter that's when I notice the little red twisty. I was pretty upset I knew that was my next project replceing the whole unit if I could but then I found out it's so expensive so I though just replace the sensor considering that's what I like to do is replace sensors and because I was told too and it was broke replace the cable! Well I order the part which took a few days as no one had the cable finally Orileys here in town said they could get it shipped from Cali. The day I have surgery my dad tries to surprise me and do something super nice by replacing that throddle cable and the sensor so I wouldn't have too well he though he would be done but he couldn't fix it because he said the cable wasn't long enough. Barely able to talk I call Orileys right away. They say nope that's the cable for a 98 Dodge Durango that is the only possible cable. Well still it's not long enough so istead of it being put in proper it was Mickey rigged.... The end of the throddle is not in it's proper place but rather striat to the lever. I will upload a picture tomorrow!! My question is how long will this last. It runs fine it's a little hard to push my pedal down but it's running not stalling and it's not wanting gas. Before it wouldn't click into gear u figure an automatic would but it wasn't instead it was like I was driving a manual and didn't know what to shift!!! Can this break. I can't take the cable back once it installed which pisses me off because I have had more than one person say it was the wrong cord or it had been clipped idk can't find the right word.. any suggestions or answer very much appreciated thank u
