2013 Elantra: When I first crank the engine, it is a rough shift into drive or reverse. The transmission shifts roughly for the first 3 miles, and then it clears up and is real smooth.

I have drained and replaced the transmission fluid, changed the canister purge valve, changed the belt, and added two full bottles of fuel injector cleaner along with the fuel allowing it to run a cycle of gas and the cleaner. I will get the code and get back to you.

The CODE was P0711 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. Again, just drained and changed the transmission fluid.

Trans is overheating,bad connection connector bad trans temp sensor. If you need one e-bay has a good price after the other connections are checked.
