2012 Benz C250 Refilling Transmission Fluid "Sealed for life"
My 2012 benz C250 leaked all of its
transmission fluid. I am trying to refill it but
unable to locate the dip stick nor the pipe. I
called the dealership and they say that the
transmission is sealed for life and that only
trained technician can have access.
Was wondering if anyone knows how to
replace the transmission fluid without
taking it to the shop? Also what is the
location of the pipe so that we can add
more transmission fluid?
If it leaked out, I would not drive the car. The fluid must be added from the bottom of the car at the trans fill plug and level is attained at a certain temp. and the car must be level up in the air. Like the Mercedes dealership said, only trained techs should work on it. If you really don't know what you are doing you can permanently damage your transmission costing big money. If you want to do it right, purchase a service manual on the proper procedure or have it towed to the dealer or a local Mercedes independent garage or trans shop for a new gasket and proper fluid.
