it always turns off when it rains

when it rains hard and if I hit a puddle

Use dielectric grease to waterproof the plug wire ends. Seal up the boots at the distributor and the plugs. Check the distributor cap to make sure the O-ring if any is in good shape and put some of the grease on it too.
