would reversing battery cables blow the ecu on a 2001 concorde lxi 3.2

new battery new alternator but running on battery only  is it likerly the ecu   after cable switch sparks heated wires

You reversed the battery cables and had sparks? You might have blown a fuse. Be more careful.

Hopefully the 50ยข fuse blew and protected the $300 PCM (ECU) from damage. But if the fuses are good, then, yes, the PCM was most likely fried. HTH. -Jim
