honda alarm system goes off all the time for no reason

Asked by Sly Jan 20, 2013 at 09:58 AM about the 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

is there a fuse I can remove or simply disconnect the alarm system

That happened to me, and it turned out to be the panic button seemed to always get pushed when I put keys in my pocket. Just one of many possibilities. I highly recommend you do not disable the alarm, having just had a car stolen. 50 feet from my bedroom.

Mine has done that and honda service couldn't figure out cause but showed me that by popping the hood it stops it and resets it. Good luck

I had this happen last night. I'm guessing that one of the sensors (doors and hood each have one) is acting up or defective.
