I get trouble code no. 5-94 on my Computer diagnostics on 1994 Caddy Brougham, what does it mean

Asked by Oct 07, 2016 at 10:21 AM about the 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car runs fine, but I keep the diagnostics window on when engine is on.
Lately I am getting code no. 5 with various numbers next to it. Today it was 5-
94. Other numbers were 5-89, etc. It just goes up from 5-68 on. It sounds like
a temperature reading as it goes up.  What does this mean?

The diagnostic system on your Fleetwood is broken down into pointer numbers. Each pointer number is a different vehicle system. The only ones you really want to be concerned with are 00 thru 04. 00 is engine/transmission trouble codes. 01 is Central Control Module trouble codes. 02 is climate control system trouble codes. 03 is air bag system trouble codes. 04 is anti-lock brake/traction control system trouble codes. 05 is just a program number which can be anything between 0 and 255 parameters.
