unlocking back doors of 1999 Cadillace Deville

Asked by GuruYKX8B Mar 19, 2018 at 06:17 PM about the 1999 Cadillac DeVille d'Elegance Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The CONVEC fuse keeps blowing and I can not afford a complete electrical check to find the cause.  I can use a key for locking and unlocking my front doors and the trunk and the pull lever inside my truck to open the fuel door. But I can not unlock the rear doors on the car. I need to do this until I get the money saved up to get the electrical fully checked out.

I think you are doing all you can until you can get someone to find the fault in the electrical "CONVENIENCE" circuit. No quick fix since the circuit keeps blowing fuses. It could be a fault in the wiring somewhere in the car or several devices that are all run on this circuit.
