Truck had three issues within one week. No heat or fan after cold start, transmission selected gear 5 to start from Drive, wrench symbol flashing indicating Limp Home Mode in 4H

Asked by Dec 12, 2015 at 06:25 PM about the 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL SuperCab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does this seem like a computer or sensor problem, and can these problems be related?  Do we have to wait for gears and motors to start snapping and popping?

The no heat/fan on cold start and transmission concerns are most likely not related. With it going into reduced power mode it's trying not to eat itself and most likely needs to be serviced by a mechanic that not only has the right computer equipment to do a thorough diagnosis but has the training to repair it properly.

Thank you. I will post the action taken by the Ford service department after they evaluate the issues.
