Asked by Crystal May 04, 2018 at 03:07 PM about the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am losing coolant out of my radiator cap. I have
replaced the cap and it still doing it. It's not a huge
leak and it's not going oassed the middle marker
gauge. I am trying to figure this out. I just got the
van a month after it started doing this

I think your radiator may have a leak. Where exactly is the coolant leaking from? From the overflow tube or somewhere else?

Did you make sure that the new cap is for the specific pressure in your vehicle? How often do you have to add coolant? Check the coolant reservoir for possible leaks. The cooling system may have excessive pressure due to a bad thermostat. Check the owner's manual to be sure of the where the normal operating temperature should be in the gauge, even if you think that the middle marker is correct.
