How can fix belt squeal noise on cold start stay until engine warm up?
I already replaced the belt, belt tensioner ,
pulley, but the keep coming back, please
help me with it. Here is the video link https:/
getting glazed somehow one of three options you can sand the belt with 80 grit top and bottom but be careful not to get your fingers in the drive pulleys, second you can put baby powder on the belt see if this helps, and or replace the belt with a higher quality belt, if it is a gatorback from goodyear it is gonna keep doing it, lots of problems with them some even make the engine sound whiny
Check your accessories (alternator, A/C compressor, water pump, power steering pump, and "smog" pump, if equipped) when cold. All pulleys should spin relatively freely, by hand, with the belt(s) removed. Sounds like something is binding when cold. HTH. -Jim
It is not just the belt, I replaced new one but the noise was still there in the morning.
Pontiacs are notorious for power steering pumps being noisy also
