Is it equipped with a Sentry system (the lights turn on at dusk, or off at dawn automatically)? If so, the system needs to be reset or the sensor on the dash (looks like a little dome about the size of a quarter) might just need to be cleaned off. Also most Yukon's will switch the lights off as soon as you turn off the vehicle. There may be an electrical issue (usually a sensor) within the ignition switch itself. Best way to find out, get the codes read. Auto Zone will do it for free or an OBD-II scanner is about $15 on Amazon. Best of luck!
