Why it stands out
The 2023 GMC Yukon XL stands out for its impressive spaciousness, making it an ideal choice for families and those needing extra cargo capacity. As an extended version of the already roomy Yukon, it offers added comfort for third-row passengers and substantial cargo space behind the rear seat. The model comes with a choice of three robust powertrains, including a standard 5.3L V8, an optional 6.2L V8, and a 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine for those looking for fuel efficiency. The latest updates incorporate advanced safety features and versatile trim levels, such as the luxury-focused Denali and the off-road capable AT4. While it carries some cons like poor fuel economy and handling compared to car-based SUVs, the Yukon XL provides excellent value and versatility, firmly placing it on the shortlist for buyers in the large SUV segment.

The features of the Denali are fantastic. Everything you expect out of a comfort vehicle and more. Great value for the money. Only thing we found off is the video rear view mirror. When not in video mode it’s almost so dark it’s unusable.

Love the vehicle!! Large enough for my family (of 5 with a car seat involved, without sacrificing style! Gas mileage isn’t as bad as imagined either. It’s a win!!

I’ve been looking at the Yukon xl for the past year and finally purchased one. I got the at4 and love it. I’ve driven a tundra for the past 18 years and was ready for something new and the features in the Yukon were very appealing. I still have my tundra as a backup vehicle but it has 283,000 miles on it. The Yukon has so many bells and whistles- I know there will probably be some electrical issues with it (as will be the case with many newer cars). I looked at the Sequoia but I liked the look, features and larger size of the Yukon xl. We have a family of 6 and the extra room is nice when traveling or hauling kids around to their activities. My plan is to keep the Yukon for the next 10 years to get my youngest through college, but will probably switch back to a Toyota pickup when the time comes. It’s been a long time since my wife and I have bought something other than a Toyota. I’m hoping this will last me for the next 150,000 -200,000 miles.
