How much does the 2023 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 10.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,536 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 2023 GMC Yukon XL earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability, and many also value it as a more attainable alternative to pricier luxury SUVs. That makes it especially appealing if you want a full-size SUV with room for passengers and cargo, plus a premium feel without moving all the way into luxury pricing. With 36.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on the vehicle’s spaciousness, features, and drivability. A few drivers have noted concerns about potential electrical issues and rearview mirror functionality, so used buyers should pay close attention to how the vehicle has aged and whether any warning signs show up during a test drive and inspection. For long-term ownership, that means you should prioritize a clean history and a well-documented maintenance record.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm there are no hidden accidents, title issues, or repeated claims. Then put inspection priority on the electrical system and rearview mirror functionality, since those are the kinds of concerns owners have mentioned. Because this is a large, feature-rich SUV, you should also focus on overall condition and make sure the cabin equipment, electronics, and drivability all feel consistent with the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,536 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $55,330, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $55,330 sits slightly below last year's $62,149.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how desirable its condition remains relative to similar listings. Strong demand for a spacious, well-equipped full-size SUV can help, but the current pricing trend shows you should expect competition when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2023’s combination of favorable pricing and strong owner feedback.
