Chrysler 300 V8 intake feels hot at one spot

Asked by Guru77M97 Jun 22, 2020 at 07:21 PM about the 2008 Chrysler 300 C RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Chrysler 300 v8 that will not idle. It starts if
you press the throttle. There is a ticking noise
coming from the intake manifold. The top of the
intake gets really hot at the tube going to the
number 8 cylinder. Would I be correct In suspecting
a problem in the head?
