mitsubishi lancer wont start
the alternator went bad so I had a shop install a new one. when I went to pick the car up the battery had been completely dead too. so bought new battery. still would not start. so I took it to another shop and asked them to test the electrical. they said it needed a new starter. replaced starter and still same issue. the car powers up just fine and all electrical works great but when you turn the key to start the radio and heater/ac loses power. it doesn't attempt to turn over. Its a manual so I can push start it and runs awesome. any ideas?
Your problem is a pretty classic sign of a bad ground between the battery and the starter. If your battery is indeed good, the ground problem could be a bad negative cable from the battery or a loose/corroded connection.
