Was told I need front right wheel bearing replacement on 2007 Monte Carlo LT. Do I need to do an alignment as well?
Not if done correctly. But it is an 07 if you have never had the alignment at least checked then now would be a good time to have it done.
You should consider having both front bearing assemblies replaced at this time as you might be right back there with the other side in a few months.
Unless you are relatively certain that circumstances other than mileage caused your bearing failure, and depending on the current mileage, have the other bearing checked thoroughly. If you are able, replace both bearings, and have an alignment performed. Reputable dealers and repair facilities generally include an alignment with bearing replacement. Although you have more than likely shopped for a fair price, you may however wish to check the yellow pages on the internet for an alignment included in the repair. I prefer alignment shops that perform a high volume of suspension repair.
