Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have had a new key made with the computer chip in it and still will not engage the starter. But the dash lights and the stuff has power inside the car.

I assume you had the key cut, right? Since it is a transponder key, you need to program it to the car. If it is a second key, you can easily program it using this method...http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=IqE_pWqZH3c......But if it is your ONLY key, you need to visit a locksmith of the dealership to do it for you. They have to program it to the actual car with the VIN number.
