Miss fire help

Asked by Slomomilla Nov 26, 2016 at 07:25 PM about the 1991 Buick Park Avenue Ultra FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car misfires, and almost back fires when trying to
accelerate. Could this be bad control module or ecm,
both are factory original, car has 110,000 miles on it with
3.8 liter motor.

The ignition timing may be off or maybe you have big vacuum leak. Is the check engine light on?
