2003 Buick Century - Temperature Gauge

Asked by VeryGoodD33 Sep 16, 2022 at 01:58 AM about the 2003 Buick Century Sedan FWD

Question type: General

While driving home from a Doctor's appointment; the temperature gauge moved from the Cold to Hot; and stayed there. I am an elderly person and do not know anything about Mechanic's work. Could anyone, please assist me by suggesting what could be the cause and what are the recommended solutions. Thank you very much,

check the radiator fluid when cold... add distilled water if it needs to be filled to the top.check both hoses that go to the radiator for any leaks too.

do not drive if the radiator looks like there is no fluid inside.
